The Index To How To Do It Information was created to aid public and college libraries in locating how-to articles in magazines to which they subscribe. Therefore, you must contact your local public library to see if they have the issue referred to by the index within their magazine collection or will secure a copy from another library. Also ask your librarian to provide you with the current address of the publisher of the magazine and check to see if the publisher can provide a copy of the article. If you are unable to obtain the article from either of them, then Norman Lathrop Enterprises can legally scan the article under the copyright "fair use" rules and email you a copy. We don't charge for this service, but hope that you would make a contribution to help support the nleindex.com website.

BOOK FORMAT of the Index To How To Do It Information
A limited number of the two accumulations are still available. Prices include shipping for USA delivery. Public and college libraries can be invoiced with shipment. Others must prepay via check or PayPal®. 1963-1989 INDEX . This accumulation replaced 27 annual supplements and three accumulations covering the period 1963-1989. The price is $100.00 for this 8.5″x11″ paper-bound, two-volume set. Published 1993.
1990-1999 INDEX . This accumulation replaced six annual supplements (1990, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998), completed indexing of three missing years (1991, 1992, 1993), and published the 1999 entries for the first time. The price is $135.00 for this 8.5″x11″ hardbound volume. Published 2002.

CD-ROM FORMAT of the Index To How To Do It Information
An archival CD-ROM version of the HTDI Index is being developed which will incorporate all entries found in the Web version as of the date each CD-ROM is produced. The plan is that each CD-ROM will contain two formats of the Index.

1. An Adobe® Acrobat® PDF version for printing the Index on paper in the same general format as previous bound volumes. This PDF file may be used to generate one paper copy of the complete HTDI Index per CD-ROM purchased.
2. An HTML version of the HTDI Index that can be browsed and searched to locate information by subject. This database may be installed on one local computer, and/or a local area network (LAN) that is under the control of the original purchaser and accessible only within the site to which it is licensed. The licensee will be prohibited from making the CD-ROM version of the Index To How To Do It Information available over the World Wide Web or any wide area network, whether or not such is accessible to the public.

The price for an archival CD-ROM depends on previous purchases of HTDI Index accumulations (in either paper or CD-ROM format) according to our records.
$  50.00 for a previous purchaser of both the 1963-1989 and 1990-1999 Index accumulations (paper format) or a previous CD-ROM.
$100.00 for a previous purchaser of only the 1990-1999 Index accumulation (paper format).
$135.00 for a previous purchaser of only the 1963-1989 Index accumulation (paper format).
$235.00 for a non-purchaser of both the 1963-1989 and 1990-1999 Index accumulations (paper format) or a previous CD-ROM.
Information regarding availability of archival CD-ROM will be posted here as development progresses.

Although the World Wide Web appears to have "everything", too often a web site disappears and takes with it the information being sought. For this reason, Norman Lathrop Enterprises considers the published books or pending CD-ROM to be the only archival versions of the Index To How To Do It Information.
