SCOPE OF INDEX: All articles, editorials and obituaries about Glendale and the surrounding area of Montrose, LaCrescenta, Verdugo City, Tujunga, Sunland, LaCanada, and Flintridge. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index, arranged in alphabetical order, with both subjects and personal names in the same file. The subject heading is typed at the top of the card, followed by the name of the newspaper. Thereafter are arranged a list of citations (mo-dy-yr-column & page) where an article on that subject (or person) may be found. Only occasionally is a word or two appended to the citation to further clarify the content of the article. |
SIZE OF INDEX: There are approximately 10,000 cards in the index. |
