AVAILABILITY:  Only two copies of this book form index exist. They must be used at the Nebraska State Historical Society. Photocopies of all or part of the index will be made at prevailing rates.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  The index is a name and subject index to persons, organizations and subjects appearing in the Niobrara Pioneer. In some cases there are multiple entries for the same individual.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book form index typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. Both subjects and personal names are interfiled in the same alphabet. Entries consist of a brief annotation, followed by the citation (year, month, day, page, and column).
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 16,000 entries in total. The index is composed of 4 volumes totaling 675 pages.
