AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this card file index exists. It must be used in the State Historical Society of Missouri.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Indexes only the obituaries reported in the paper. NOTE: Obituaries from other newspaper, chiefly older newspaper, are added to this index as time permits.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index in alphabetical order by personal name. There is one entry per card consisting of the name of the person, the birth and death dates, and one or more citation. Each citation includes the name of the paper, the month, day, year, section, page, and column where the article appeared.
SIZE OF INDEX:  Over 37,000 cards at present. Add 150 per month.
