AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this card file index exists. It must be used in the Kentucky Library (Western Kentucky University).
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Miscellaneous Kentucky newspapers including the LOUISVILLE COURIER JOURNAL and the FRANKFORT COMMONWEALTH. During the 1940's, subject heading cards were made on items of interest as old and contemporary newspapers were donated to the Kentucky library. This effort was discontinued in the late 1940's for lack of sufficient staff.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index. Entries consist of a brief description, the name of the newspaper, the month, day, year, and page.
SIZE OF INDEX:  Two drawers of catalog cards.
