NOTE:  During 1975 there were a number of reports that this firm was indexing or was going to index a large number of U.S. newspapers. According to information furnished by an Alabama librarian, the newspapers cited above were indexed from March 1975 through June 1975, with the last issue (May-June 1975) published in August 1976. They were also reported planning to index the following newspapers: The Boston Globe, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Dallas Morning News, Detroit Free Press, Newsday, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Raleigh News & Observer, Sacramento Bee, and San Francisco Chronicle. Except for the information on the Birmingham News and Montgomery Advertiser, we have been unable to obtain any further information. Two inquiries sent to Reff-Ton have not been answered.
