Add-on architecture. Facelifts for ordinary rooms. (1) Paneled wall effect is created with vertical 1x3 boards at 12" to 16" intervals, topped by a 1x4 trim board. (2) Embossed paper simulating tin squares is added to the ceiling and top of wall, down to a plate-rail molding. (3) Pilasters and mantel are used to create a false fireplace. (4) Shuttered mirror.
