SCOPE OF INDEX:  Emphasis is on personal names, place names and some subjects, all with an importance in or to Colorado.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book formed index in 5 volumes. Page size is 8½x11 inches with two typed columns per page. Arrangement is alphabetical by last name of individual. Entries consist a brief description, plus the citation. The citation includes an abbreviation for the newspaper, month, day, year, page and column. Many abbreviation are used in this index. A complete list appears in the front of volume 1.
