FORMAT OF INDEX: A 4x6 card file index with personal names, place names and subjects in one alphabetical order. Entries are either handwritten or typed. Entries will consist of the headline and/or a brief description or even the full entry (article content). The citation includes the full newspaper name, volume, number, month, day, year and sometimes the page number. |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 100 entries per month are added to this index which currently occupies 120 feet of drawer space. |
