SCOPE OF INDEX: A chronology rather than a subject index. One article per day (or group of days) was chosen to represent, perhaps, the most important or most interesting event that happened to be reported. The story could be either local or concerning the state. It might be about people, buildings, sports,...etc. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A book form index typed on 8½x11 inch pages, with perhaps 15 to 25 entries per page. There are a total of 195 pages in the chronology. Under the heading for each year, there is a chronological listing of the months and days, followed by a brief description of the story chosen for that day. |
