AVAILABILITY:  A published index. Issued in twelve monthly issues plus an annual cumulation. Annual indexes back to 1958 are still available. Write for current prices. (NOTE: Annual index for 1955-1957 are available from the Bell & Howell Company. See LATHROP REPORT #1153J.)
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Only the eastern edition of the paper is indexed. The indexing is very comprehensive and includes profit reports, dividend reports, news about people, etc.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book form index printed on 8½x11 inch pages, three columns per page. The index is divided into two sections: CORPORATE NEWS and GENERAL NEWS. Within each section, the entries are in chronological order. Entries consist of a brief summary of each article, followed by the month, day, page, and column where the article appeared in the Eastern Edition.
