AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this index exists. It must be used in the Erie City and County Library.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Indexes the DEATHS of all persons native to Erie County PA which were listed in the Erie Daily Times.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  The index is in two parts. July 1959-Dec 1969 is a typed listing in alphabetical order and bound into book form. 1970-Current is in the form of 3x5 cards filed in alphabetical order. At the end of a ten year period, the 3x5 card index will be typed and bound into book form and a new card file index begun for the next 10 years. Entries consist only of the name of the deceased and the date (month, day, year) of the newspaper where the obituary appeared.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 150 entries per month are added to the index.
