SCOPE OF INDEX:  Emphasis is on local news, obituaries and historical features. Only limited state news is indexed. Excluded is national news, international news, society and club news.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by subject and personal name. There is one entry per card consisting of the headline or a brief description of the article, the name of the paper, the date (mo-dy-yr) and the page number where the article will be found. The occurance of a portrait is also noted.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 500 entries per month are added to the current index.
