SCOPE OF INDEX:  The Saturday edition of the London Free Press featured a special page, called LOOKING OVER WESTERN ONTARIO. Only this page has been included in this index. The index includes references to people, places and things mentioned on this page.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book-form index typewritten onto large (22x36 inch) pages and bound into a book some 2 inches thick. The pages are not numbered and there is no estimate of the number of the number of entries in the indes. There are two columns of entries per page. The index is arranged in alphabetical order by subject and name. Within each subject, the entries are further subdivided into alphabetical order by subheadings which are often personal names. Thereafter follow (1)two words which are the "first" two words of the heading (headline) of the story and (2) the month, day, and year of the newspaper being cited. Accompanying illustrations are noted. Personal names often indicate the township and county where the person resided.
