SCOPE OF INDEX:  An index to marriage notices found in the Adrian, Michigan newspapers located in the Michigan Historical Collections.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book-form index typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. The index is divided into two alphabetical lists of personal names, namely, MEN and WOMEN. Each entry begins with the date (mo-dy-yr) of the marriage, followed by the names of the two people, their hometowns (if indicated) and then the citation. The citation consists of a code for the paper, the month, day, and year when the article appeared.
