SCOPE OF INDEX: The scope is state-wide, but the emphasis is definitely on Monroe County and Bloomington. Elections and legislation are major examples of state-wide news included. Descriptive information about other towns or sites that would be of interest to tourists are indexed.. Indiana University news stories are also indexed. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A book form index, typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. Each page contains an estimated 18 entries. All of the articles indexed on a given page are the same subject. The subject heading is shown in the upper left hand corner of the page. Each entry consists of the headline, a brief annotation, a code for the newspaper, the date (day-mo-yr) and the page. |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 200 pages per year are added to the index. |
