SCOPE OF INDEX: This index primarily includes obituaries and general news and features relating to Nebraska. Considerable political and social data is included in this index. Obituaries and other articles from these three newspapers (as well as other Nebraska papers) are added on a non-systematic basis as they are discovered by the Society staff. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index in two sections: SUBJECTS and PERSONAL NAMES. Both files in alphabetical order. Entries consist of the headline plus a brief annotation followed by the name of the paper and the date (mo-dy-yr). |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 500 entries per month are added to the current index. |
