AVAILABILITY:  Only 2 copies of this book form index exist. They must be used in the Nebraska State Historical Society. Copies of all or part of the index will be made at prevailing rates.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  The index is a name and subject index to persons, organizations and subjects appearing in the Nebraska Advertiser. An effort was made to index the name of every adult each time it appeared. In some cases, where only initials of the person appeared in the paper, there may be multiple entries for the same person.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book form index typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. Subjects and personal names are interfiled in one alphabetical sequence. Entries consist of the subject or personal name, a brief description of the contents of the article and the citation (year, month, day, page, and column).
SIZE OF INDEX:  Total of about 17,000 entries in the index. The index is composed of 4 volumes totaling 1,063 pages.
