SCOPE OF INDEX: This effort is an index to Lincoln County (Nevada) newspapers and covers events, politics, economic developments, persons, mining, merchants, births, deaths, and marriages for the years indexed. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index, presently in handwritten form. The cards are arranged in alphabetical order with both subjects and personal names interfiled. Entries consist of the citation followed by a brief description of the article. The citation consists of the month, day, year, page, and column where the article appeared. |
SIZE OF INDEX: There is expected to be approximately 250,000 total entries contained on 15,000 file cards. |
