SCOPE OF INDEX: This index includes all types of references to the news of Clark County, Nevada. Cities in this area include Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, North Las Vegas, and several smaller communities. The index covers events, politics, economic developments, mining activities, social and cultural events, and all other developments and occurances deemed to be of significance. There is an extensive index to all persons mentioned in the newspaper, as well as subject headings. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index divided into two alphabetical sections: SUBJECTS and PERSONAL NAMES. Entries consist of the citation followed by a brief description of the article being indexed. The citation consists of the date (month, day, year), page and column. |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 100,000 cards in the total index. Most cards have several entries. |
