AVAILABILITY:  A copy of this index is available for public use in Pikes Peak Regional Library.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Comprehensive indexing of news events in Colorado City. Included are items pertaining to the history of the city, community organizations, business & industry, churches, railroads, etc. Also indexed are deaths and obituaries. The index also includes some indexing for other Colorado communities (Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, Ramona, etc.).
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book form index with two columns typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. Both subjects and personal names are interfiled in the same alphabet. Under each subject or personal name, the entries are arranged in chronological order, one entry after another, in paragraph format. Each entry consists of the citation (month-day-year-page-column) followed by a very brief description of the content of the article.
SIZE OF INDEX:  The entire index contains approximately 10,000 entries.
