AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this card file index exists. It must be used in the Pomona Public Library.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Emphasis is on news of the Pomona Valley, excluding routine club activites, routine sports news, and the column about men & women in the armed services. Indexing coverage has varied. 1880-1965 is highly selective. 1965-1975 is less selective. 1976-Current is quite comprehensive in terms of coverage.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index divided into two sections: SUBJECTS and NAMES. There is only one entry per card. Entries consist of the headline, the date (mo-dy-yr) and page number.
SIZE OF INDEX:  The index currently occupies 54 full catalog drawers.
