SCOPE OF INDEX: Local news is indexed, principally that found in the Metro section of the newspaper. We do not index crimes, obituaries unless of leading citizens, critical reviews, nor most feature articles. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order with both subjects and personal names interfiled. Entries consist of the headline followed by the citation. The citation consists of the word "Sun" followed by the month, day, year, page, and column where the article appeared. |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 10 entries per day are added to the index which currently occupies about 8 standard card catalog drawers. |
