There is one entry per card consisting of the subject heading, headline (or title) of article, name of newspaper, date (month, day, year) and page. Many of the articles included in the index are also clipped for a vertical file. If so, then the heading of the file folder in which this article will be found is typed at the bottom of the card.
SIZE OF INDEX:  The entire index currently occupies 33 file drawers with a maxium of 1000 cards per drawer. About 250 to 300 cards per year are added to the current index.
