SCOPE OF INDEX: This is a chronological and subject index to the special feature supplement SPECTRUM which was a part of the DAILY ILLINI (the student newspaper at the University of Illinois). |
FORMAT OF INDEX: Both a book form and a card form index. The book form index is typed on 8½x11 inch pages and is divided into two parts. There is a 16-page chronology that lists the month, day, and year of each article, followed by the headline and/or a brief description. There is also a 7-page subject section in which subject terms are followed by the month, day, and year of any articles dealing with that subject. In addition, there is a 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by subject. Each card consists of a subject heading, the headline and/or a brief description of the article, and the month, day, and year. |
SIZE OF INDEX: There are approximately 350 subject entries and 325 chronological entries. |
