SCOPE OF INDEX:  Hesperian was a student newspaper at the University of Nebraska. Indexed are articles by students, professors, and subjects relevant to student activities and concerns.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index with both subjects and personal names interfiled in the same alphabetical order. Entries are handwritten on cards with one entry per card. An entry consists of the headline, an abbreviation of the newspaper's name, the volume and issue number, page, day, month, and year.
SIZE OF INDEX:  Approximately 5000 entries.
