AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this card file index exists. The index and corresponding copies of the papers are available for public use at the McCain Graduate Library during regular hours.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  The emphasis of the index is on Mississippi and Mississippians, with particular emphasis on the University of Southern Mississippi (The Student Printz is the university's student newspaper). Obituaries are given special attention in conjunction with the library's genealogical collection. Sports events and society functions are excluded.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index with a single entry typed on each card. The entry consists of the headline followed by an abbreviation for the newspaper, the month, day, year, and page.
