AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this card file index exists. It must be used in the Arizona State Library.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Indexes items of Arizona interest only. Includes biographies of Arizonans, obituaries of residents of Arizona (mainly Maricopa county) who have lived in the state 30 years or more, state government agency happenings, and miscellaneous items about Arizona cities and towns.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  This is a 3x5 card file index. The typed cards are arranged by broad subjects with emphasis on state government, biographical and obituaries. The entry is the headline and sometimes a brief description of the article. The citation includes the newspaper name, month, day, year, section, page and column. A code indicates a photograph.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 10,000 entries per year are added to the current index.
