AVAILABILITY:  Only one copy of this 3x5 card file index exists. It must be used in the Boston Public Library. Library staff will make simple searches at no charge. Photocopies of index cards are available for $3 per page (about 6 cards).
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Indexes all obituaries of musicians reported in newspapers, magazines and other documents.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by personal name. Entry information includes date of death, age at death, place of death and a brief statement of the persons musical credentials. The citation includes name of periodical, date and page.
