Excluded are the articles which cover sports, columns, announcements of events, wedding announcements, most letters to the editor and obituaries. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index. A subject index in alphabetical order with one entry per card. Each entry consists of the headline plus the date, page and column where the article will be found. The code "BHA" indicates Boston Herald American. No code indicates the Cambridge Chronicle. |
SIZE OF INDEX: About 2,000 entries per year are added to the index. |
