SCOPE OF INDEX: The index is designed to provide access to significant historical information about the Estes Park area. Emphasis is upon local people, places and events. In addition to newspapers, the index also includes references to local oral history transcripts and historical photographs. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by subject or personal name. The cards are color coded to indicate the newspaper being indexed. Entries consist of the headline, or other brief statement, followed by the month, day, year, page and column where the article appeared. |
SIZE OF INDEX: Approximately 15,000 entries to date. |
