SCOPE OF INDEX: The index features a heavy emphasis on Quaker or Quaker related subjects, including Quaker events, historical features, personalities and current events. However, the index also covers such general subjects as North Carolina, Guilford County and Guilford College. Topics covered include history, features, homes, persons, places, events and genealogy. Obituaries are included in the index. Routine sports events are excluded from the index. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by subject and personal name. Entries consist of the headline and/or a brief abstract of the article. If the article is very small, it may be pasted directly on the 3x5 card. The citation consists of the newspaper name and date (mo-dy-yr). |
