SCOPE OF INDEX:  An alphabetical index to all personal names and selected subjects for the locality of the newspaper.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book-form index typewritten on 8½x11 inch pages. The entries are arranged in alphabetical order by personal name (last name first) or by subject, followed by a brief statement of content of the article. A single name may be followed by more than one brief phrase and more than one citation. Each citation consists of four numbers which indicate the volume, issue, page and column.
SIZE OF INDEX:  3900 entries in the index.
