SCOPE OF INDEX:  Includes items about the Longmont and St.Vrain Valley area only. Names (but not births), events and places are indexed.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index arranged in alphabetical order by subject and personal name. A special section of the index is devoted to businesses. Entries consist of a brief description of the article, followed by the month, day, year and page where the article appeared.
SIZE OF INDEX:  The first 10 years of newspapers produced about 10,000 entries. About 2,000 entries per month are being added to the index until it becomes current.
