SCOPE OF INDEX:  Index of articles of local and state interest, obituaries, political events, social events, business news, and local news.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 3x5 card file index with both subjects and personal names interfiled in the same alphabetical order. Entries consist of the headline and/or a brief description of the article, followed by the citation. The citation consists of the name of the paper, the year, month, day and page.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 2,000 cards in the entire index.
