AVAILABILITY:  Four copies of this book form index were produced. A copy is available for public use at the Moline Illinois Public Library.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  The index includes all items of genealogical interest including vital records (births, marriages, deaths); legal notices (probates, attachments, sheriff's sales); visits from out-of-town visitors; newcomers to town who are opening businesses (along with their former place of residence); members of grand and petit juries; and police court cases.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  Uses the same style and format as the Astoria ARGUS index. (See LATHROP REPORT # 1174A for a description and samples.)
SIZE OF INDEX:  A 250 page chronology of which 33 pages are a surname index to the chronology.
