AVAILABILITY:  At one time, this was a published index which appeared annually. Publication has long since ceased. A copy of the indexes for 1892-1912 are available for public use in the South Caroliniana Library (University of South Carolina, Columbia SC 29208).
SCOPE OF INDEX:  A general index to the newspaper. Includes obituaries and weddings.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A 6x9 inch book form index, originally published as one volume per year. The South Caroliniana Library has bound them into four physical volumes (1892-1901; 1903-1908; 1909-1911; 1912). Within each annual index, the entries are arranged in alphabetical order with both subjects and personal names interfiled. Entries consist of a brief annotation followed by the month, day, page, and column where the article appeared.
