AVAILABILITY:  Use is restricted to employees of Tacoma News Tribune.
SCOPE OF INDEX:  Index is a complete guide to all the negatives of pictures published in the News Tribune. It also includes negatives of unpublished pictures taken on assignment.
FORMAT OF INDEX:  A book form index consisting of computer printout on 8½x11 inch pages. Entries consist of personal names or subjects followed by the word SEE and then the month and year where the negative is filed. There is a code for the photographer who took the picture and an indication if the photo is in color. The entries are arranged in alphabetical order with both subjects and personal names interfiled.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 3200 entries per year are added to the current index which now totals about 11,000 entries.
