SCOPE OF INDEX: This index covers the major events of central Vermont, including the complete counties of Lamoille, Washington, and Orange; the southern tip of Orleans County; the eastern and southern tip of Caledonia County; the northeastern tip of Windsor County; and the western jut of Addison County. State issues are covered only if they become local issues within this area. Important local personalities are covered if their actions impact the local area. Some obituaries are included, but not all. Excluded from the index are minor crime, minor court cases, monor accidents, political party news, and advertising. |
FORMAT OF INDEX: A 3x5 card file index with multiple entries typed on a card. A brief annotation is used to describe each article, followed by the month, day, page, and column. The year appears in the upper right hand corner of each card. Accompanying photos are noted, as are editorials. |
