FORMAT OF INDEX:  This is a 3x5 card file index. Multiple entries are typed on each card. All of the cards, both subject and personal name, are interfiled in the same alphabetical order. Entries consist of the month, day, year, a brief description of the article, the page, column, and a code for any illustrations.
SIZE OF INDEX:  About 350 to 400 entries per month are added to the current index.
